A Bear Story

Nobody cared about the bear,
The little bear with the dirty hair.
But everyone cared about the bear,
The little bear with the caramel hair.

He sat on the ground; the dirty bear,
Giving out a dirty stare.
Atop the highest shelf he stood;
The caramel bear was swimmingly good.
“Oh my! Oh my! It’s so unfair”,
Exclaimed the little dirty bear.

And then a thought popped into his head,
“I’ll make them care for me instead”.
He turned and looked around,
No one there, so he got off the ground.
Up the shelf he began to climb,
To himself he thought “revenge is sublime”.

The dirty bear reached out his paws,
And on his hands were dirty claws.
Onto the floor went the bear;
The little bear with the caramel hair.

Ever so slowly he did rise,
Looking out with love in his eyes.
Then the bear with the dirty hair,
Jumped on out into the air.
The little bear with the caramel hair,
Could do nothing but stare.

As the dirty bear came to land,
He held out something in his hand.
The knife went into his little tummy,
The dirty bear cried “MMM… Yummy!”.
But alas the deed was not all done,
There was still some time for a little fun.

The little bear with the dirty hair,
Heard the footsteps from the stairs.
He ran to the door and pulled it open,
“The dog should come in… Here’s hopin’”.
The little bear with the caramel hair,
Could do nothing but stare.

Out the window jumped the dog,
The bear dropped out like a log.
Stuffing fell out from his gut,
As he tried to outrun the mutt.
The big old teeth closed on in,
Around his little fluffy skin.

The little bear with the dirty hair,
Sat on the shelf with an evil glare.
Nobody cared about the bear,
The little bear with the dirty hair.

But everyone cared about the bear,
The little bear with the snow white hair…
